A Dutch girl with international roots, I’ve lived in France, The Netherlands, Scotland and Japan I’ve now set up home in Basel since Oct ’06. I enjoy crafting in many shapes and forms from knitting, felting, sewing, pottery and making random small things. Living in all those countries has given me a number of different influences in my crafting. Unfortunately, there never seems to be enough time to do everything as I have too many projects! But here I am slowly making stuff as I go along. I haven’t given it a try again, but from the comments on the Etsy tutorial (http://etsylabs.blogspot.com/2007/05/long-overdue-fusing-plastic-bag.html) I get the feeling it’s just a matter of finding the right setting on your iron. As we have a very cheapy one, I think I might just not be able to regulate it well enough. I seem to either warp everything or can’t get it to fuse 😦 I also think the setting you need to use differs for different kinds of bags.
I guess it’s a matter of patience which I’m in general a bit short on when there’s lots of other projects around 😉 good luck and let me know how you get on!

Thank you, glad you like it. I was lucky enough to live and work in Tokyo for 4 months in the summer of 2005. Absolutely loved the place and wish I could have stayed longer…would love to go back some day and live there for a few years!
